Mapping Topology in Architectural Spaces

INTERACTIONS

INTERSECTIONS

The work is an abstract form that researches the simple action of intersection in planes. The piece suggests hybridization of euclidian spaces through superimposition/ juxtapositions create in between spaces that create flexibility. Superimposition encourages interactions and extensions of spaces. This Topology can begin to re-consider questions of figure/ground contextualism. It no longer creates a separation of figure/ground but a separation where a continuous and reversible dialogue can occur. Through intersections, it is possible to create a dynamism that suggest variable spaces through parallax and create simultaneous interactions within it. A topological space with emerging possible interactions suggests multiple fluid edges. "Intersections" establishes non-hierarchical relationships that can change the hierarchy of action superimposition of linear space and time.
